Misty’s Backstory
Misty is a crafty kitten from a big family, who loves knitting and hanging out with her friends. She’s been a social butterfly since she was little and can make friends with just about anybody with her cheerful disposition, which came in handy when she first met Sunny in kindergarten. Sunny was a shy little bunny who kept to himself and Misty saw him as a challenge. Because she had so much experience with her siblings, she’s used to looking out for others and felt drawn to Sunny, to help bring him out of his shell. So she extended the hand of friendship and made him take it, whether he wanted to or not.
Claire’s Corner
I would have to say that boba tea is my favorite drink. The squishy tapioca pearls are the best part and yes, I have choked on them more than once. I typically go for the traditional milk tea with tapioca, but I’ve also been fond of strawberry milk tea and chai milk tea in the past as well. In my opinion, tapioca pearls are the best, but I also love fruity popping bubbles.

Sunny Self-Care Tip
We all know that getting a good night’s sleep is important. But did you know how important? Well, Sunny knows because he’s a pro at sleeping. (You know, cause he’s apathetic.) Sunny has a LOT of reasons why he makes time for sleep. Like, insufficient sleep increases negative responses to stressors and decreases positive responses. Sleep affects every tissue in your body. (Just thinking about that makes me tired). Insufficient sleep also affects our ability to perceive the world correctly and let’s face it, the world is a screwy place right now and we can all use a little help in dealing with it and the people in it. Not getting enough good sleep will keep the Big things Big, the Hard thing Hard and the Sad things Sad. We need sleep and sunshine to help ourselves deal sometimes.
So all that being said, let’s take a look at a few things Sunny does to make sure he’s getting good quality sleep.
Sunny has great big, sensitive, bunny ears, so noise can sometimes be something that keeps him up at night and waking up a lot. So he has white noise, like a fan, to cover up non-sleep inducing noise. (He does not have a sleep machine because he thinks the wave sound really only sounds like traffic on the highway.)
A dark room helps with sleep. In almost all of Sunny’s posts, where he is sleeping, you will notice that he wears a sleep mask. And he has blackout curtains and no night light, etc. The Bun likes his dark.
Here’s a big one. OVER THINKING! Well, it is for Sunny. So he keeps a pad of paper and a pen next to his bed so he can write things down and get them out of his head. A piece of advice from Sunny, use a flashlight and your glasses if you want to read your own writing the next morning. (Sunny’s handwriting is only doctor’s prescription grade fat best, if you know what I mean.) Something that helps Sunny put things in perspective at bedtime is thinking about what could be the worst thing that could happen and writing it down. Then think of scenarios to deal with it. You can let it go now, whatever “it” is.
This is a hard one for Sunny. Staying on his phone too late at night. It’s so easy to get caught up in Insta or TikTok and get drug down that rabbit hole every night. (See what I did there? Rabbit hole, Ha!) Maybe you can set a timer and outgo the lights when it goes off.
So now you are armed with some things to help you get 7-9 hours of “bunny quality” sleep. Sweet dreams.
